We just returned from 2 weeks working with Emma and Michalis on their family farm and cannot recommend it enough. We spent our days helping with the olive harvest, tending to the donkeys/chickens/sheep, doing yard work, and helping Emma with essential oils. The farm is perched on top of a hill overlooking the sea and it really is idyllic. The work was very reasonable and Emma was always clear about what was expected of us. It was amazing to meet some family friends and spend time with other WWOOFers. We ate all meals together and there was a strong sense of community from the start. Emma has a knack for bringing people together from all walks of life and making them feel welcome and comfortable. It is truly admirable. We shared many laughs and learned so much. It was a beautiful and fulfilling experience - all thanks to Emma and Michalis. We hope to see you both again down the road.

Definitely the best wwoofing week I had so far - super nice group and hosts (Alex and his mum), big comfortable and cozy house in a mountain village 10 minutes drive to the next beach, physically little bit demanding but really nice and passionate work to harvest the olives and learn about techniques of harvesting and pressing the oil. It was an amazing experience, the time I spent in Kapparelli with Pantellis. I learned a lot about Greece and about olive/olive oil production. The place is beautiful and it's rich in ancient History. Pantellis has excellent values and is friendly. He's a very genuine person. He's also very attentive to others' needs. The feeling of taking out the olives in the trees is very satisfying. We had nice meals. And it was the first time I swam in the Mediterranean Sea! In the Gulf of Corinth. Thank you so much, Pantellis. And if you ever visit Lisbon, you have a place to stay!

My friend and I spent three weeks helping out at Ioannis Farm and had a wonderful experience. Ioannis and Liza gave us a warm welcome, and the other workers were also very open and helpful. If we had any questions or concerns, one of them was always available, and they made it easy to feel right at home. During our stay, we slept in a container complex and shared a kitchen with the other Woofers. We could cook for ourselves, and Litsa always made sure we had plenty of food. Ioannis and Litsa's mother often cooked delicious meals for us as well. During our stay, a Greek holiday took place, and we enjoyed a typical Greek lunch prepared by Ioannis and Litsa's mother together with our hosts. The work mainly consisted of weeding and repotting, and we learned a lot about the plants. The physical work could be tiring, but it was easily manageable and enjoyable. Even at the end of Oktober, it was still very hot on some days - I would definitely recommend keeping that in mind when planning your stay. After work, you can spend your free time on the beautiful grounds, cycle to the beach (25 min.), or visit the nearby towns (Marathon – 30 min., Nea Makri – 40 min.). Weekend trips to Athens or the surrounding islands are also highly recommended. I would definitely recommend the farm to anyone who wants to learn more about (landscape) gardening and Greek country life. It also offers a great opportunity to relax and meet people from different cultures.
