I am Dylan Araps, a 28-year-old former software engineer known for my open source work and emphasis on simple, maintainable software. Several years ago, my family and I left Australia to resettle in our ancestral homeland of Greece. We later acquired a long-neglected agricultural estate in the sleepy village of Amphithea on the island of Euboea. This estate became the foundation of WILD, Project, a family farm in Euboea where natural farming, plant-based cooking, hands-on workshops, and minimalist living all come together as the goal to cultivate better people. Volunteers have the opportunity to learn about natural farming practices, natural winemaking, olive oil production, traditional Greek plant-based cooking, and whatever seasonal projects are underway at the time. You will be involved directly in our multi-generational family life and as such, respect and decency are assumed. Each day, we will come together to enjoy a shared plant-based breakfast and main meal. Additional meals can be prepared by volunteers in our fully equipped kitchen. For those who prefer other options, a tavern within walking distance offers non-plant-based meals. Sleeping arrangements vary by season and currently include tent camping, either in your own tent or in our yurts. A small house is planned for the future, but until then, all accommodation is tent-based. Our interests include simple living, minimalism, cooking, gardening, movies, music, philosophy, hiking, mountain climbing, cycling, running, swimming, foraging, and more... As with everything , your embrace of our life and level of commitment to our philosophy will determine how much you learn and benefit during your stay with us. You can leave as strangers who merely passed some time with us or as members of our extended family. We respond within 24 hours and would appreciate the same courtesy. :) Follow us on Instagram: @wild_project_gr

I spent three weeks with Dylan and his family in a wonderful atmosphere. I loved playing an active part in their WILD project and sharing in their daily lives. The accommodation and meals were of a high standard. Generosity, kindness and sharing are truly the hallmarks of this family. Thank you once again for this wonderful, exotic and very inspiring experience.

Thank you for a wonderful stay at the farm! They really do include you as part of their small family. The location is pretty far away from most things, so you are dependent on them to drive you around, but they will gladly bring you along when going to the market, beach, mountain for hiking or the local mountain water source, where there is a really cold and beautiful pool in which you can dip to cool down. The work very much depends on the season, but also on you, and what you would be best at/ enjoy the most. There is a broad variety to try, including cooking, garden work, creative projects, building and more. They do not pressure you and have fair working hours and practices siesta during the hottest part of the day. The family at the farm are very honest and passionate people. During your stay you will touch upon many different relevant topics from religion to ethics to diet to modern society in general and so on. Keep an open mind and take the chance to broaden your perspectives and don’t be afraid to ask a lot of questions and participate in the discussion. As they told us in the beginning “you get what you put into it” and having these talks, though you may disagree on different aspects, was important to have. We stayed in a large yurt with electricity and had vegan food and no sugar. It was very filling meals with vegetables from their garden. Honorary mention: The sweet, sweet 3 dogs and (many) cats that provided endless petting-sessions. Go follow them on insta! :-)

I spent two weeks at Dylan and Lise's farm, and it was a beautiful experience. Living there means being in complete harmony with nature and respecting it in every aspect of daily life. It was also a very enriching human experience. We shared many meaningful conversations and reflections that made me think deeply about life and my own values. Above all, Dylan and Lise are genuinely generous and welcoming people, and I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to live this experience.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. Dylan and his family were over the top accommodating and generous in every way, from hosting us comfortably, feeding us, and even taking us to the village when we needed things. They made us feel immediately at home. The days we spent with them were very enriching in terms of what we learned from their admirable lifestyle choices and natural farming methods. It was fascinating to learn how they make their olive oil and wine, which are true elixirs. The meals were incredibly delicious, made with strictly organic, whole-food, plant-based ingredients. We highly enjoyed helping them set up their garden beds, cooking, maintaining the trees and vines around the property, and fixing fences along other simple tasks. We loved being a part of their blossoming project and found it to be very inspiring. The surroundings are stunningly beautiful and if anyone appreciates simple, down to earth living, and being in the company of kind hearted people, they will have a wonderful time. Thank you so, so much for everything! <3 We can’t wait to be back someday
