"Arteis geuseis." This is the name of our family farm located in a mountainous village on the island of Ikaria. We also have a small agro-business, which means we can cultivate, harvest, and package whatever thrives in our garden. A variety of fruits, aromatic plants, and vegetables make up our estate. We respect the environment, protect natural resources, ensuring that future generations can live off agriculture. We cultivate naturally, using only organic fertilizers and manure from our animals, without the use of pesticides. A characteristic of our estate is the preservation and use of local and traditional seed varieties from Ikaria, as well as from all over Greece.
The agro-business has been operating for 7 years and has managed to produce over 10 packaged products. "Arteis" farm is a member of the global Slow Food movement. We organize seminars on agricultural nutrition, botany, and more. We offer tours/walks on our farm, giving the experience and knowledge of "growing my own food." At the farm, we can accommodate 2 people in tents and "growing my own food."
