Organic vineyard, olive grove, orange grove, fruit trees artichokes and vegetable patch
North Aegean
I am Nilufer, 70 years old. I live between Athens and Tinos. Our place in Tinos is a secluded valley 6 km from the port of Tinos. We harvest olives at the end of October, oranges in January-February, and artichokes in May, and tend the vegetable patch throughout the year. In the vineyard except for the yearly tending the big moment is the gathering of the grapes from mid-August to early September. There is also a winery on the property. There are also small houses for rent to vacationers who are attracted to being in nature and living in sustainable accommodations. The farm is organic and solar-powered. There are 2 cats, numerous chickens, and dogs of day workers who come to work with their pets. April to October there are vacationers in the houses and day workers in the vineyards and the rest of the land; gardens, orchards, olive groves, etc.
What an average day could look like, depends on the month of the year. On average the day will start at 8 am and end around 2. There will be a break for nourishment. The afternoons are free for discovering the island, swimming, etc. According to the seasons, pruning of trees, gardening, working in the vineyard, landscaping, watering, making of jams, etc.
The WWOOFers prepare their meals with ingredients bought in the local supermarket and products from the farm on the account of the company. There will be shopping money and transportation made available.
We drive the WWOOFers to the supermarket to buy the food. If you are able to drive and there is an available vehicle,
you could also drive yourselves. The supermarket is 4 km away and about a 10-minute drive.
From November to April there are cottages with wood stoves for heating with kitchens and bathrooms, from April to November tents and when available a cottage. We are planning to create a space with gers and a common shower bath in the near future.
My hobbies are cooking, hiking, swimming, reading, gardening, and ...daydreaming.

Really enjoyed my time at Nulifer's place, it is in a beautiful and peaceful location and really enjoyed hiking all the trails on my time off.
The work on site was easy and the rest of the team were great to work with and very friendly. Would recommend for anyone wanting to learn more about the wine process, those looking to meet and work with a lovely team or who love the beautiful outdoors.
The site is quiet remote so someone content with their own company in nature would be happiest.
