I'm French (from Bordeaux) and George is Greek from the island of Kea. We have been receiving volunteers for 16 years now. Georges is a beekeeper and we have olive trees. Our land is 12500 sqm. The house is 100 meters from the beach. We have just bought a new house between Ermioni (6 kms) and PortoCheli and we would like a woofer to look after our animals (donkey, emus, hens, goose, sheep and cats)... but especially to help us with the garden and various other things. Meals are taken with the family. I cook lunch and dinner using ingredients that vary with the season. Sometimes we share them, sometimes they’re improvised – A private room and bathroom are available. We do not provide internet, but your 4G or 5G is accessible. There's not a lot of work, but we always have something to do. The timing is divided into two parts: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with the rest of the day free, and 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for feeding and bringing the animals back in the evening. 6 days a week. 1 free day of your choice. We want to meet positive and happy persons !!

I would absolutely recommend this place! I was a first time woofer and I stayed for a month in June. Geraldine and Georgios were both very nice, they treated me like family. I worked with the animals in the evenings and mornings a bit, and before noon we did some other activities, sometimes painting trees, sometimes going shopping or helping Geraldine with her everyday activities. In the afternoon I was free. There is no wifi but mobile data works fine, and there is a lot of alone time, so if you visit, prepare a book or something as well. You will have your own space, there is a small accommodation, its a bedroom plus bathroom. The beach is a 20 minute walk away from the house. They don't eat meat very often, eggs and cheese sometimes, but mostly some veggie meal for lunch. The animals are adorable and the hosts are amazing, they help with everything, very energetic and always in a good mood, they enjoy life. I would absolutely recommend this place!

During these seven weeks of my journey, I have learned so much. This experience is a gift for myself. I have learned how to be a farmer, understood the process of olive harvesting and honey production, and even learned how to build shelters for animals and homes for people. I have learned how to raise chickens and turkeys, and how to distinguish between sheep and goats. Acquiring these skills has allowed me to feel the beauty of nature. Each day, I breathe in the clean, fresh air and bask in the warm sunlight from sunrise to sunset. I am captivated by the tranquil, clear sea, the lush expanse of olive trees, and the vibrant array of flowers and plants. The charming donkeys and cats add to the delightful atmosphere, while my cozy green room and the home I eagerly anticipate make this place feel even more special. Most importantly, it is the warmth and kindness of you and every friend I have met here that truly enriches my experience.

I stayed with George and Geraldine for two weeks it was my first WWOOF experience and they were so kind and welcoming. The food was amazing, Geraldine is a wonderful cook. The work was light and I had the afternoons to explore the surrounding villages or go to the beach. Would highly recommended staying here if you get the chance!

The stay here was amazing. I spent three weeks at La Maison Vert Amande and loved every bit of it. Worked during the mornings and spent time exploring the area and chilling on the beach. The bikes provided were great and always made the afternoon fun. Geraldine is an excellent cook, getting to taste some great Greek foods was definitely a highlight. The work was varied, picked up a couple new skills and got to hang out with some pretty cool animals too. I can’t recommend La Maison Vert Amande enough.

I spent three fantastic weeks with Géraldine and Georges! I worked in the mornings and had the afternoons and weekends free. The work is varied and interesting. Géraldine and Georges do everything possible to make the WWOOFers comfortable. It was nice to visit the area and the surrounding islands (there are bikes on site). I highly recommend a stay at La Maison Vert Amande :)
