Peninsular Pilio sometimes feels like heaven. When the twelve Gods of Olympus celebrated great festivities or marriages they were doing this at Pilio. The forests reach down to the sea and there is plenty of opportunity for trekking and swimming at the most beautiful beaches on this Peninsular.
Our property is a family farming project with olive trees and an organic garden. We are vegetarians and open-minded towards philosophy, different lifestyles, and religions. Our bottom line is to give every living entity the space he/she needs to happily develop in this lifetime. We are easygoing and know how important tolerance and flexibility are to realize a successful and happy life.

Organic methods: Just normal Organic/biological methods
Certifications: I have done organic farming since the 70ties, do not see the need to be certified, and pay for this paper plenty of money just so that I can officially be recognized as organic.
Type of work: Looking after the olive grove up to the harvest in October, vegetable / flower gardening, composting, manual and maintenance work, cooking and so many other things.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit bei Olivier und Biggi. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen und zuhause gefühlt und das Leben in ihrem Haus und auf der Farm sehr genossen. In unserer Hofarbeit konnten wir sehr frei sein, Olivier hat uns viel entscheiden lassen und den Rahmen gegeben nach unseren Bedürfnissen Aufgaben zu erledigen und Pausen zu machen. Der Ort hatte für uns beide eine tolle Energie, wir konnten wunderschöne Sonnenuntergänge sehen, haben abends immer zusammen gegessen und Spiele gespielt. Ganz liebe Grüße Lucie und Helena

I stayed for five days at the project, Birgit was currently not there. Olivier is an amazing cook and respectful person. He likes talking about philosophy and the sense of life. I did some gardening and was told to do 4,5-5 hours daily whenever it suited me best. There is a sweet little studio with bathroom, kitchen, washing machine for helpers, which was amazing. Kala Nera (next beach) is one hour walk, and you can do some other hikes in the area. The dogs are lovely and I very much enjoyed my stay. Thank you!

My visit at Olivier's farm was a incredible experience. The workload was reasonable and the tasks were varied. The accommodation was comfortable and the food provided was great.
Olivier's is a kind, generous and dedicated person who deeply cares about life and nature. He makes sure to include you in his life and events in the local community, and can share his wisdom through deep philosophical discussions, if you are open to it.

I greatly enjoyed my time on Olivier’s farm. Pelion is incredibly beautiful in the spring and the wildflowers are spectacular. I found this simple, quiet, wholesome life in nature to be very healing for my body and spirit. Working with the olive trees was enjoyable and the work load was reasonable. The room provided was very nice and comfortable and the meals were amazing. Olivier and Birgit are very gracious hosts and took me to a hidden waterfall and we had some very stimulating conversations during and after meals. Their dog Nanou is really amazing and i miss her comforting presence. I feel incredibly lucky to have stumbled upon this wonderful experience and i hope to return in the future. What a beautiful place!!
If you are looking to learn to do the best focaccia in the world, to discover stunning places, to have philosophical discussions and to hang out with the cutest dog, you are in the right place!
Usually you work about 5 hours in the day (from 8 to 13), and then, you have free time. Olivier knows everything about the area, which is so beautiful, and he took me a lot to the beaches nearby. Pélion is for sure paradise on earth :)
During my stay I mostly did gardening (lots of differents things: weeding, mooving wood, taking care of the compost, cutting branches, harvesting...) and cooking. Olivier is an amazing cook, and you will for sure learn with him.
I loved my stay here, and can positively say that it's a safe place for an alone woman. Yeahhhh!

Olivier is a kind, generous, and intentional host — and his farm is such a special and unique place. I did painting work during my time there, which I found very meditative and enjoyable. Olivier explained what needed to be done thoroughly and always made himself available if I had any questions. After the helping hours, he took me to visit a beautiful beach and a waterfall another day. He cooked for us at night, and we had great conversations. Thank you for having me, Olivier!
