My stay at oakmeal farm was absolutely amazing. Marcie is the best host and guide for the island as well as incredibly knowledgeable and kind. I helped in the cookie kitchen packing cookies asx wellas delivering them as well as preparing (raking) a neglegted field for lavender planting. The volunteer home is generous with a sleeping room with an en-suite bathroom as well as a seperate kitchen area. Marcie also has the sweetest dog Ruby and a cat Dickie.

Marcie is a fantastic host. I felt guilty for not doing enough for her and her work. She fed me, made sure I was always looked after and we explored the island together whilst running orders for her cookies. She even paid for me to have a drink whilst she was on duty working - bless her. I helped move her acorns from the roof of an old ancient stoned outdoor farm room inside and carrying boxes for a greek festival stall set up. She is the example of philoxenia - friend of a stranger. To continually give generously. Highly recommend volunteers to help her with her project.
